About Dr. Hobbs
Dr. Lori Michele Hobbs, a board certified dermatologist, is specially trained in dermatologic lasers. She has successfully completed laser fellowships at the
University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and Harvard Medical
School.
While at Harvard, she conducted research at the prestigious Wellman Laboratory, participating in studies that emphasized the use of lasers in tattoo removal and laser assisted hair removal in pigmented skin. Regarded as an expert in dermatologic
lasers for all skin types, Dr. Hobbs is a pioneer in laser use for darker skin-tones.
She has contributed chapters to dermatology text books and published numerous
peer reviewed articles on the subject of lasers and light sources.
In addition, Dr. Hobbs has lectured throughout the United States and abroad. She
also has served on the Department of Dermatology staff at Howard University
Hospital in Washington, D.C. currently, she is the director of dermatologic
lasers at King Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. Understanding the
importance of giving back to her community, Dr. Hobbs has volunteered with
programs for mentorship and laser assisted tattoo removal. Not only does she
believe in volunteering he services, but also giving her expertise to medical
research to benefit the community. Thus, Dr. Hobbs has participated in laser
research to help advance her field and uncover the latest techniques in
dermatological care.
Dr. Lori M. Hobbs truly enjoys the field of dermatologic lasers and welcomes
